{"id":153,"date":"2015-07-11T17:15:18","date_gmt":"2015-07-11T17:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aleclee.rocks\/content\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2026-03-03T15:10:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T22:10:25","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aleclee.rocks\/content\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alec was born in San Jose, CA and grew up listening to great Bay Area bands like Montrose, Journey, and Santana. \u00a0He started on violin before kindergarten but knew early on that he really wanted to play guitar when\u00a0he would strum his violin.<\/p>\n<p>He finally got a guitar for his 14th birthday and fell deeply in love with the instrument. \u00a0He started gigging in college, playing in bands with almost-clever names such as &#8220;Miss Directed&#8221; and &#8220;Rude Frenz&#8221;. \u00a0Most recently, he played with Denver-based band &#8220;Breaking Silence&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Alec&#8217;s primary influences include David Gilmour, Randy Rhodes, Malcolm Young, and Mick Jones. \u00a0His playing is a cocktail of melody, funk, and aggression that reflects his diverse musical influences.
